Let's compromise
♎️ ♾️
All right, I've been putting off writing this because I have an obvious bias to anyone who knows me, and I just wrote about it, so if you want to gaze upon my Libra prejudices, they're over here. But the inescapable fact is that the transiting lunar nodes are switching signs in July: the north node will be in Aries and the south node will be in Libra. Currently, the north node is in Taurus and the south node is in Scorpio. Wherever the south node is in your chart, it is loud (either one: natal or transiting). Wherever the north node is in your chart, things seem to work more easily without much pushing, but the problem is that the south node is similar to Saturn in its function: everything south node-y piles complications upon you.
As my case in point: the south node went into Scorpio in December 2021. And who among us has not had to deal with one or more of the following in the aforementioned time span:
crisis of great emotional significance
death
drama everywhere the light touches (usually in the form of someone invading your personal business to avoid dealign with their own)
someone doing something despicable in your general direction/environment
emotional bullshit that no one wants to talk about or face directly
destroying something totally in order to get rid of a part of it
financial problems concerned with either investments, or jointly held assets, or accounts
some needless drama with an insurance company
having to keep secrets with high stakes attached
If you want to look at me with wide eyes and tell me you don't know what I'm talking about, great, maybe astrology doesn't work for you (were you born on another planet, perhaps?)
I just described Scorpio things, so here are some Libra situations we may expect when the nodes switch signs, because this will be the pervasive energy that takes over and impacts our day-to-day in weird, subtle ways:
having to be nicey-nice-nice
said another way: passivity as a modus operandi
the need to bite your tongue to get along
emphasis on how things appear instead of what they really are
emphasis on win-wins
sacrifice on behalf of another person
compromise that's not what you really want
people constantly playing devil's advocate
arguments about fairness
attempting to strong-arm harmonious situations by ganging up on the person who's speaking up/out
struggling to keep elements of your life in balance
Look, Libra has a lot of positive qualities. But the SOUTH NODE in Libra means that this energy is coming through a lens, darkly, and that Libra shit is going to be work for all of us.
The good energy is in Aries, or independent action. Trusting your instincts and going with your gut when deciding what to do next is in order, but be warned: you may have the Nice Police on your tail. (I think you can guess my opinion of the Nice Police.)
If you want a sense of what the energy will actually do, just rewind 18.5 years to the last time the nodes were where they are (it helps if i you have charting software so you can see specific dates). In my case, the mother of the person I was dating back then got arrested and was placed under house arrest, so I had to be the supportive significant other in *that* situation and keep up appearances. It's hard to speak up for your personal needs when that’s happening. It's an extreme example, but, in a weird way, textbook.
